Healthy Eating for Busy Entrepreneurs Aug. 7th, Halifax

I'm excited to be hosting a workshop for Etsy Maker Cities next week! As part of this pilot program to support creative entrepreneurs, Etsy and local partners will be offering free and low-cost programming at locations throughout Halifax. I'll be offering a seminar on Healthy Eating for Busy Entrepreneurs on Friday, August 7 at 10 AM. As an avid crafter (and sometime knitting teacher) I am delighted to be teaming up with Etsy on this initiative. Welcome!

The nutritional landscape is changing rapidly right now. It seems there are new studies being released almost daily that are turning what we thought we knew about healthy eating on its head. For years we've been told to eat a low fat diet, avoid saturated fats, don't eat too much red meat, eat plenty of complex carbohydrates.... Diet gurus have encouraged us to swap peas for high-fat avocado in our guacamole, fill half our plate with grains, eat mostly meat...or no meat...or only white meat...or only fish...but watch out for mercury! If you are trying to eat healthy and feeling completely confused trying to wade through all the "expert advice" out there, you've come to the right place. My go
