Shannon Sponagle, BA, RHN
Nutritional Consultant, Health Writer, Nutritional Educator

Hi! I'm Shannon. I'm a Registered Nutritional Consultant with more than 10 years experience helping people achieve their best health. I think of myself primarily as a nutrition educator, because my passion is to share what I've learned to help people help themselves. I know how powerful dietary changes can be and how eating right can bring about the most amazing positive changes in people's lives.

I've been a faculty member of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, for whom I've also written curriculum and workbooks for their online nutrition training. I've also been a Guest Lecturer in Nutrition at The International School of Brussels, Belgium. I have work with clients one-on-one, as well as providing nutrition seminars and weight loss programs for groups, schools and corporations. In 2016 I was selected as an Ambassador for Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, an ongoing, global campaign to provoke debate and inspire positive, meaningful change in the way our children access, consume and understand food.

Perhaps most importantly, I've lost over 70 lbs (72 to be exact!) and have kept it off (mostly!) for over 20 years. With this blog, I hope to share what has worked for me and help you find your way to better health...starting today!

I love to keep abreast of all the latest research in the field of nutrition and through this blog I'll share my take on all of it with you. There is so much information out there and it can seem confusing and contradictory. I'll help you navigate it!

Please email me with with questions or topics you'd like to see covered. I'm here to help.
